HI Doyleen, Thanks for your good work on this. I find no fault with your ideas. I do wonder about the land passing from Nathaniel to his siblings rather than to his children...did you find a record of Jameses will which dictates this arrangement? Was there a death record for Nathaniel? What were the dates on the deeds which redistributed the land? I also wonder how the word started that Martha Jane might have been named Crittenden...I know Peggy Wilson had that info as questioned.
