Shelli...please see #498 for my response (regarding Martha Jane Quinton, daughter of James Quinton) to your reply to me. I read your message (#496) and in the process, referred to the one I had earlier posted...then wrote a note to you attached to mine instead of going back to yours. Sorry.

Old Samuel Quinton (b. 1762) is situated between his two sons, JAMES (b. c 1805) and WILLIAM (b. c 1807) in the 1850 Polk Co. Ark. Census. And with James' granddaughter, Lurena Tucker, at Samuel's house during the census, makes for a good ASSUMPTION that James does belong to Samuel (b. 1762). That is as far back as I have this family. I didn't have the time that I would have liked for searching and obtaining documentation on the Quinton family while in Arkansas, once I found out they belonged to me (or vice versa). Any help on the earlier Quintons would be appreciated. I plan another trip to Arkansas next summer. Thanks for writing. Sorry I screwed up on sending you the first message. Doyleen
