It has been awhile since I posted or read any information on this website. I will start new. I am researching the Quintero's. My father was Juan Quintero born in Johnson City, Texas, married Juanita Arce. My grandfather was Primitivo Quintero, born around 1877 in Pedras Negras, Mexico and became a U.S. citizen in 1887, married Vicenta Menchaca. He had a brother, Francisco, born around 1864 in Fuentes, Mexico and became a U.S. citzen in April 1952, married Francisca Menchaca and they had a sister named Romula. I have recently found the names of their parents: Francisco Quintero and Juliana Marmalejo Rivera (or last names reversed as folks from Spain did since they were from Spain). I have since found allot of family members of Francisco and Romula. We are from Texas but do have family through out the states. We now have combined our family reunions. I am still looking for the rest of the Quintero's. Our tree has grown tremendously since I first started searching. I have spent many days and hours at the Texas State Library and have written many letters requesting copies of documents.
