Luis Quintero: Los Angeles California 'pobladore': Sept. 4,1781

Hello,

I just walked the annual walk from the San Gabriel Mission to Olvera St. this past Sunday in honor of the original settlers (Los Pobladores) who founded what is now Los Angeles California. This was my first time doing this since it began at the bicentennial in 1981 and it was a blast! I'm just wondering if anyone in the forum can trace their lineage to Luis Quintero who was one of the 11 forefathers who, under Spain's authority, was selected to travel from Sonora and Sinaloa Mexico to found a city for Spain in Alto California. For the past two weeks I've been learning so much about L.A., California history and my ancestors and I hope to meet a few online.

Thanks.
-Tony
