To anyone: For over a year I have tried to trace my family genealogy, with little luck. My grandfather Theodore Quintard came to the U.S. on May 31 1904, he was then 22 yrs. old, he was single at the time, arrived here on the ship Germanic whose port of departure was Cherbourg,Manche, France. His distination was Mineral,Kansas, located in the South East part of Kansas in Cherokee county. He died in Christopher Illinois. (My father, also named Theodore Quintard, was born there on June 21,1911.My grandfather married my grandmother there, in Kansas --- I think?? Her maiden name (in France) was Eleanor Langlen. However she may have married befor she came to the U.S.or came to the U.S. and then got married. Her married name may have been Siemoens, which was changed to Semon at some point in time(don't know when or where)My grandmother at some date later married Quintard. No records are available for these dates from Kansas. Does this "ring a bell" for anyone? -- need help. Notify Administrator about this message?
