All the NM Quintanas are descended from two brothers. Los del Rio Abajo from Jose de Quintana and los del Rio Arriba from Miguel Matías Quintana. José de la Cruz is not in my direct line, as he comes from Rio Arriba. Here is what I have on him---José de la Cruz Q, b. 5/20/1815 in Taos, NM, son of José Ramón Q, b. 1/18/1791 in Santa Cruz, NM, & María de la Cruz Martín. He married María Albina Martinez on 5/30/1814(?)in Taos, NM. She is from Abiquiu, NM, daughter of Rafael Martinez and María Guadalupe Lucero. Note the birth and wedding years. There is a problem.
