I was hoping someone would be able to help me out here. My grandmother, who goes as Marie-Jeanne (Lajoie) LAFOSSE (although her birth certificate was listed as Alexandrine Lajoie) was born in St. Liboire or St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada on 15-DEC-1891 and moved to Massachusets. She married Arthur LaFosse in 1921 and lived in Northbridge Massachusetts and Worcester, MA.
Her parents are listed as Alexander Lajoie and Amanda Quintal but I have no further information on either of them. Since Marie-Jeanne (or Alexandrine) was born in the St. Liboire or St. Hyacinthe area, I'm assuming her parents are from the same area. It means they were probably married in the 1880-1890 timeframe, and were probably born in the 1860-1870 timeframe.
Any information anyone might have on AMANDA QUINTAL would be greatly appreciated! Merci!
