Hi Maja,
I appreciate your quick follow up. I have not been able to find records of his wife, but it looks like he had one son named John born in 1685. He and his descendants can be found starting here:

From what I've found online, e.g.:

http://www.babynamespedia.com/meaning/Theunis

Theunis would probably have been pronounced something like "Thunniss"in English, which sounds pretty close to the English pronunciation of Thomas.
