1. THOMAS1 QUINN was born Abt. 1728 in Munster Provence, Ireland, and died 1815 in Union Co., SC. He married MARY BLACKBURN.
More About THOMAS QUINN:
Fact 1: Thomas Quinn was apparently the first of my Quinn line in America, coming from Cork, Munster Province. He moved to Cork to obtain work when crops failed and his job was loading ships and one day he just stayed on board.
Fact 2: I understand his d.o.b. was 1733 and he came to the US in 1755, landing first in Baltimore and moving to Frederick County, Virginia.
Fact 3: I have been told he is listed in the French & Indian War, Capt. McKenzie's (?sp) division. He married Mary Blackburn and I think our line goes down through Joseph.
Fact 4: My g-g-grandfather was Tilman Quinn, g-grandfather John Columbus Quinn, grandmother Nora Jane (Quinn)Brewer.
Fact 5: I have just found a cousin who is a wealth of information and, small world, he lives just across town from me!!!
