Elizabeth Quinn (1902 Elk County PA)
No connection to Quinn genealogy but compiling a booklet re former early school teachers. Miss Elizabeth Quinn was listed as a school teacher in 1902 at Rainetown which was a village which grew up in a very rual area of Elk County where a saw mill was built. She was teaching the primary grades and Mr. Archie Hillard was the Grade School Principal. Nearby Rainetown was the rual area known as Lake City were there also was a rural school house. That schoohouse is now on the historical list and is being "taken back to it's original status"...a museum will be in the upper level. Booklets about the area and it's former schools and teachers is in the process. It would be great to have a copy of a photo of Miss Quinn, in her teaching and later days, to possibly be displayed in the museum. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. All fees for copies and postage will be reimbursed.
Nothing more is known about Miss Quinn but possibly she would have been related to Patrick Quinn who was formerly of Ridgway, Elk County.
