of State 59 years
Mrs. Catherine A. Quinn, widow of James Quinn, died Tuesday at her home (address omitted on internet).Mrs. Quinn was one of the Minnesota pioneers who came to the state in 1854 in a party headed by Gen. Shields and settled on farms in Shieldsville, Rice county.In 1871, the Quinns came to Minneapolis.Six sons and three daughters survive her.They are George H., James M., Frank P., Joseph P., Charles S., and Germain Quinn, all of Minneapolis; Mrs. W. H. Johnston and Miss Mary Quinn of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Robert Vance of Fargo.The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. today from the Church of St. Anthony of Padus, with interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
