The only siblings of Owen I know about are the ones I mentioned in the previous email.I was hoping you could tell me if Owen had a brother James.I noticed while doing research that when people left Ireland, they tended to move to counties in England based on their occupation or skill to find work. Or, they moved to areas where another family member was already established.Other than being a Coldstream Guard, was there any mention of a previous occupation? What about Winifred's mother? Where is she from? Another item I noticed is many times people marry in the town where the wife lives.
I also have a bunch of those sort-of-cousins, but they are not much help. My family was very good about keeping vital documents and writing down stories. In that sense I am very greatful.I am also fortunate that I found a real second Quinn cousin in Birmingham and we were able to help each other fill in the blanks. Birmingham is where Owen settled to raise his family. Many of Owens decendents are still there, except for a great uncle who went to South Africa and my grandmother who came to Philadelphia.
When you get unjumbled, send me what you can to my personal email address. Then I can compare it with what I have.
It's hot and sticky in Philadelphia, PA too.
Keep cool!
