I do hope you check this site because the email I sent to you was returned to me. This man was my father. He was born in Ireland, the youngest of 15 children to daniel and Rebecca Quinn. We're not sure of his age. he had said 1907, a later birth certificate said 1901 and the records from the ship he came over in, the Athenia suggest he was born in 1904. his parents moved to johnston, scotland at some time presumably because they lived in county tyrone and were an orange / green couple. the political climate in scotland at that time was better than in ireland. he came to canada in 1926 with jane mcelwee and her 5 children. dad got off the boat in Sherbrooke intending to return home because he was homesick. instead he ended up in estevan with his sister and married your grandmother. i also knew that he had had a family but nothing was ever said about it. He came to Brandon in 1945 and married my mother in 1946. He died on nov 27/73. i am really anxious to connect with you because you are part of that huge family of Quinn's about which i know little but can provide you with some additional information. I am also interested in learning about my half siblings. Hoping to hear from you. frances
