QUINN IN NY
My father was adopted by Arthur Samuel Frazier and Ruby Augusta Frazier (maiden name: Neumann) when he was a baby. My father was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 6th 1931 with the name JAMES QUINN-- His mother's name was on his birth certificate, but we have misplaced it.... Her last name was Quinn and her first name is uncertain until we order another bc to know for sure. There was no father's name on it. The Fraziers took my father to Washington DC, he was renamed Arthur Eugene Frazier and was baptized at St Patrick's Catholic Church. They lived in Wash DC until he was about 4. They then moved to Tampa, FL because these were the depression years and Florida was one of the only places to find work. Arthur Samuel Frazier died when my dad was 10 (1941) and Ruby Augusta Frazier died the following year (1942). She had lost both legs by the time she passed away (diabetes). They were probably in their 60s at the time of their deaths and are both buried at Orange Hill Cemetery in Tampa, FL. My father---Arthur Eugene Frazier----at age 11 then went back to Washington DC to live with his aunt (sister of Mrs. Frazier) "Lonie"= Alice Jeanette Myers (maiden name Neumann) who became his guardian after the Fraziers passed away. His other aunts were Anna Appolonio, Marie Murphy, and Elsie Caeto (all maiden names were Neumann). I know that Mrs. Frazier's family was from Washington DC and Arthur Samuel Frazier's family was from Kentucky. It is believed that he fought in WWI and we know that she was a nurse in WWI. Arthur Samuel Frazier was an artist. If anyone has information regarding any relatives of Arthur Samuel Frazier, the Neumann family, or the Quinn family....PLEASE CONTACT ME [email protected] OR REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE...
If you have any ideas that may help me to find out more info---I more than willing to listen. Thanks.
