Jasper,
My name is Betty Quinn Landrum and I had
Quinn ancestorsinOkalona, Mississippi.
Do you think we're in the same family???
My Father is Lawson Billy Quinn of Louisville
and his father was David Monroe Quinn and his father was James Henry Quinn, and his father was William Bryan Quinn, and his father was William Graham Quinn. I know that William Graham was born in North Carolina and that
the family migrated into Georgia. His wife
was Sarah Bryan Holmes of Washington County,
Georgia and he was 12 years older than her at
their marriage. It is my belief and part of my research that leads me to speculate that
William Graham Quinn's father was probably
William Loftin Quinn, originally of Virginia.
If this is true, his father was also William
Loftin Quinn and his father was Loftin Quinn
of Carteret County, Virginia. Loftin's wife
was Mary Cannady (Kennedy) and in his will he
named three children,Thomas, William, and Margrett. There was a fourth child born by the
name of Abner, so it is assumed that Mary was
expecting this child when Loftin died. He lived from 1730 until approximately 1765.
