Debbie- I know it's been a while since you posted this message on Gen Forum, and I'm sure by now you've realized that you've already traced your roots back to Ireland.

John Quinlisk was born in Ireland. Here is a copy of what his obit says:

Gardner News
January 28, 1908
The funeral of John Quinlisk, whose death was reported in yesterday's issue of The News, will be held tomorrow morning at the church of the Sacred Heart at 9 o'clock. Deceased was a native of Ireland, Tipperary County, where he was born June 15, 1860. He has been a resident of Gardner about 28 years and leaves besides a widow, nine children, Michael, Patrick, Lawrence, John, Johanna, Margaret, Bridget, Mary, Laura, all of this town. He also leaves three brothers, Dennis of Germantown, N.Y.; Michael of Waltham; and Thomas of Chicago, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Clunan of Brookline; Mrs. Joseph Moriety; Mrs. John Horrigan and Mrs. Catherine Maloney of this town.

Sharon
