I have found David's father and he is Patrick Quinlan and his wife Johanna. They came from County Cork in Ireland and settled in Asphodel township.I did not know how Peterborough got it's name but that makes sense.I never knew my grandmother Ellen she died at 43 years old.Actually many of the younger children in my father's family do not remeber her.She had a sister who died young young also either Anne Marie or Margaret. We were in Peterborough not long ago as my daughter's roommate at university lives in Duro. the girls mother is a nurse in the cancer ward of a local hospital and she works with two girls named Quinlan .Probably some connection.good luck in your family quest
Linda
