The only job she ever had was working in Quality Control for the government in a Small Arms Plant in Dever Colorado inspecting bullets. It was a Civil Service Job.
She lived in the Northside of Chicago by Lincoln Park.
Met Donald at a dance. Florence was in a group called "Daughters of Veterans of Forgein Wars" (her dad was in WWI). They married two weeks after they met by eloping to Kansas because you didn't have to present papers there to get married. When they went home and told their parents they made them have another church wedding about a month later. A few weeks later Donald got sent off in WWII and they didn't see each other for a year after getting married.

When he was a child he took his mom's husbands last name "Mayrer" but when he went in the Air Force he changed his name back to Hannum.
He worked for Boeing Airlines in California before joining the Air Force when he was 26 years old.
