Joe,
I just began looking today for a QUINE who married into my CARTER family.

I have Noel QUINE b 1807 NC. He married Evaline in TN (I believe it to be Sumner Co) and their first 4 children were born in TN and last two in KY. They are in the 1850 census of Logan Co., KY and in the 1860 census of Christian Co.KY. A sister to my gggrandmother was Martha Drucilla CARTER who married James Madison QUINE in 1858. I am trying to connect the child who is age 1 in the 1860 census and living in the Noel QUINE household. I believe that child (Pinckney B. QUINE) is a son of James M. and Martha who are also in the household.

It may be that your QUINE is a sister to Noel.
Ida
