Searching for letters, journals, and other personal and public documents referencing the life and military service of George Washington Quimby, who served as captain of Company D of the Fourth Vermont Infantry during the Civil War. Quimby died in action at Fredericksburg, Virginia, on Dec. 12, 1862. Any and all help appreciated.
