I am seeking information about the parents and siblings of Jenet Quimby of Esopus, NY, b. 1814-17 in NYS, d. 1881, buried in Port Ewen, NY. Wife of Cornelius Burger (m. about 1836?), mother of Eliza, Benjamin, Elisha J., Jane F., Josiah A., George, Rachel A., Josephine, and William R. Burger. Her first name is spelled variously (Jeannette, Jannette, etc.) on censuses from 1850 through 1880, and her granddaughter reported the surname as Quinby. Children Josephine and William moved to Brooklyn, married, and had families. I have further information about the Brooklyn descendants. Can anyone connect Jenet to any of the Quimby families discussed here?
