Norene,
I believe we have corresponded before but your mention of "Enoch Taylor" caught my eye. My great grandfather was Enoch Taylor, born 1863. He lived and died in Pinckneyville. He and his wife, Cornelia Campbell, had 3 daughters but Cornelia died during childbirth and Enoch raised his daughters alone and never remarried. I have been told that his father's name was William Henry Taylor who was married to Elizabeth Ragland. My dad seems to recall that his grandfather Enoch Taylor had 2 brothers, Henry and John but he thinks there were also sisters. Who is Willard Taylor? and what information can you provide.

I found it just too coincidental that you mention Enoch Taylor and Pinckneyville, Illinois in the same message. Pinckneyville is a town of about 3,500 people and probably much less around 1900.
