Norene,
It has been quite awhile since we last corresponded, however since my searching never seems to end I thought I would pass on this info. I have a book, "History of Perry County, Illinois" published in 1988. It has one section on Benjamin Franklin Taylor, youngest child of Willard Taylor and Esther Matilda Quillman.
The interesting part: It says Ben's grandparents were "Eric and Jane Taylor of Pinckneyville. He was full blooded Cherokee Indian, and she an English woman" Thought I would pass this on.
