David Hansel is said to have been born in Virginia in 1788. He married Rhoda Spradling Wilson (b. abt 1788) abt. 1808. They were the parents of 6 children which include:
(1)Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Quillian
(2)Sarah Quillian (1812)
(3) Martha Quillian (1817)
(4)Anna Quillian (1818)
(5) James Oliver Quillian (1821)
(6)Walter T. C. Quillian (1828)
David Hansel was the son of James Monroe Quillian (born March 1, 1757 in Surry Co., N.C. and died 1838 in Gilmer Co., Georgia) He married Sarah Ann Waggoner(born Jan. 10, 1760 in Fairfax Co., Virginia and died 1805 in Georgia) November 4, 1779 in Virginia. They were the parents of 3 other children in addition to David Hansel which include:
(1)Selia (Cecilia?) Quillian (1784-1843) who married Hezekiah Chandler(b. 1775) abt. 1795. They were the parents of 6 children.
(2)Clemmons Quillian (1786 in Virginia to 1852 in Georgia) married Anna King (b. 1785 in Georgia died 1852 in Georgia)in 1808 in Georgia. They were the parents of 8 children which include:
(1)Eliza C. Quillian
(2)Bethel Bryant Quillian (1809 in Dahlonega, Lumpkin Co., Ga.)married Lou Van Zant. 1 child James Capers Quillian.
(3)Milligan Patrick (1811-1894) (was a Methodist preacher) married Martha Hutchinson(1820-1879) in South Carolina in 1840.Thjey were the parents of 11 children.
(4)Henry Knox Quilliam (1808-1873)married Aley Hancock(1805-1853)They were th parents of 3 children.
(5)Polly Ann Quillian (b. 1815) married Isam C. King April 30, 1834. 1 child
(6)Lewis Wagner Quillian(1816-1896) Married Eliza Hutchinson(1827-1905) in 1847. They were the parents of 7 children.
(7)John Baldwin Chapel Quillian (1824-1891) married Elizabeth Jane Causey(1831-1915)in 1851 in White Co., Georgia. They were the parents of 3 children.
(8)Smith Clayton Quillian (1827-1870) married Harriett Eveline Moore in 1853. They were the parents of 2 children.

(3)James Quillian (b.May 10, 1793 in Stokes Co., N.C. and died Jan. 1869 in White Co., Georgia) Married Sarah Ann Prickett(1794-1844)( my 4th greatgrand aunt. They were the parents of 7 children which include:
(1) Osborne Phillip Quillian (1816-1879)married Jane Williams Meaders(Meadows)(1820-1916)Nov. 15, 1838 in Franklin Co., Ga.They were the parents of 12 children.
(2)George Tarpley Quillian (1818-1891) married Elizabeth W. Bedford (1823-1866) Nov. 19. 1840. They were the parents of 8 children.
(3)Wiley Hargrove Quillian (1820-1893) married Nancy L. Meaders(Meadows)(1832-1899)July 27, 1848 in Habersham Co., Georgia. They were the parents of 10 children.
(4)James Milton Q!uillian (1823-1903) married Margaret Alsa Murray (1825-1897) Nov. 10, 1846. They were the parents of 10 Children.
(5)Fletcher Arnold Quillian (1825-1864)married Kasiah Malissa Meaders (Meadows) Nov. 13, 1845 in White Co., Georgia. They were the parents of 7 children.
(6)Sarah Ann Quillian (1827-1907) married her 1st cousin Harwell Hodges Parks (1825-1895) May 22, 1845 in Franklin Co., Georgia. They were the parents of 10 children. Harwell was the son of Rev. William Justice Parks (1799-1873) ( a Methodist preacher) and Naomi Prickett (1796-1856). Naomi( another 4th greatgrand aunt) was Sarah Ann Prickett's younger sister.
(7)Asbury Hull Quillian (1830-1899) married Agnes Frances Lilly (1837-1915) Nov. 18, 1858 in Lumpkin Co., Georgia. They were the parents of 10 children.
