We have been researching our Quillinan line, and had the occasion to check new york census records. I did not find a Dennis in New York, but our gr. grandfather Dennis lived in Chicago at that time. He had a daughter Mary Agnes who is my grandmother. I also found a Dennis in California that in the 1910 census had a daughter Mary age 9. Could they have been in California and then moved to New York? That Dennis had a wife Frances and children Edward, Elizabeth, Mary, Dennis, Nora, Francis, and Aloysius.
