Daniel, Vanessa;

My maternal grandmother was a Quillin, from Scott County (Gates City); daughter of John Noah (b. 1872) & Addie McFreeman Quillin (1876). She married Scott Walters, who lived on Clinch River, TN. Moved to SoCal to work in oilpatch, in 1923, where my mother was born.

Mom's working on family tree; has a bunch of good, solid info. Will contact her, give her this site (which I just found); watch here for Emma Patterson. She's pretty busy (still works at family business), but I'm sure she'll find time for you!

Obviously, the gene is a strong one; the young lad in the pic's at qilleninfo.com looks just like one of my 2 sons...
