Well I'll be damned! COUSIN! No doubt 3rd, 4th, or 5th, and a bunch of times removed... or some-such.
Now that you have rattled my memory, I do recall that John Woods, in Tullyleague, did say that the house belonged to his brother... and that the brother's name was the same as my Dad's name as well as my own (William).
Regarding the Quill story that I related to you... I've been hearing variations on that story for years... mostly from my Aunt Mary in Chicago.
That memory-rattling that you gave me also reminds me that it that very John Woods that related the Quill story to my wife and myself while we were there (October, last year).
Speaking of Aunt Mary, it might be that you have heard from her daughter, my cousin, Kathy Doczy. She's been researching the Family Tree for a few years now. If you haven't heard from her, do you mind if I pass your E-Mail to her?
Uhhh... wait... I don't have your E-Mail.
Do you still have mine? Mine is still... email@example.com
By the way, in case I didn't already tell you, I was born and raised in Chicago... and now living on the West side of Portand, Oregon (Aloha, Oregon). If you ever make it out this way, you're welcome anytime!
Regarding our trip to Ireland, we spent 10 days driving around Ireland. Dublin to Sligo, to Galway, to Tullyleague, to Limerick, Tipperary, then back out to Tralee, then followed the southern coast back through Cork toward Dublin.
We touched very lightly on all parts except Northern Ireland. We plan to take that in next time. My wife's family (Reaugh, pronounced "ray") is from the Northern Region.
What about you? Married? Kids? What do you do for beer money?
I'm married to Phyllis, we have two boys, one (Jim) in the Navy (12 years), and one (John) in Hollywood trying to break into stardom! Both boys are doing well! John already has a couple of bit parts under his belt in a couple of movies.
As far as getting beer-money, I'm an automation programmer.
So... what about you? (How about using E-Mail?)
