Quigleys from New Brunswick or New York
I have discovered that I am a DNA connection to descendants of Martin Quigley b. 1796, and James Quigley b. 1823 both of Tipperary. From New Brunswick, the Quigley brothers or cousins settled into Auburn, Canandaigua, and Rochester, NY.My great grandfather, Joseph b. 1838, and his brother Michael, b. abt 1830 ended up in Missouri, but I have not been able to tie these brothers to the family from which they apparently sprung.I have found a Cosmos (father) Henry (son) Quigley family in Kansas City that seems culturally similar to the New York family (deep interest and attachment to their faith and public service), as well as my grandmother's line of the family who ended up in Chicago and Minnesota, attended Catholic Universities, were active in the Church, etc.Does anyone know of a Joseph or Michael who "disappeared" in the 1850's and had family in New York or New Brunswick, and could have been related to Martin or James of Tipperary?
