Quigley Tale passed down through the Generations.

I am looking for anyone who may have heard this tale that may have passed down through their Quigley lines. In Ireland two Quigley brothers had a disagreement with the tax collector and accidently killed him and in fear they jumped ship to America. When they arrived they feared they would be deported back to Ireland for punishment so they decided to split up. One was to go north and the other south. My line is from the northern Quigley's who made their way to Loudoun County, VA from Baltimore, Maryland then on to Shullsburg, Wisconsin.
About 15 years ago my uncle was at work and another man came into his workplace and ironically they had the same exact name. But was even more interesting than that is this Quigley had the same tale except he came from the southern line of Quigley's.
I am curious if there is any truth to this tale. If anyone has heard anything simular to this in there line please contact me at Jnbroan@aol.com. I would welcome any response from anyone who could shed some light on this subject or give me a direction on which to search for any truth to this tale.
