James Quigley who was born 1711 in Stranolar, Ireland married Isabella Walker the daughter of William Walker. Isabella Walker's sister, Mary, married Robert Oliver. When John Quigley, James's son, marries Anna Oliver he is marrying his cousin. Robert Oliver's Father,Launcelot, Oliver died in Barre, Massachusetts. James Quigley died in Chester, Massachusetts. Although an elderly man, James Quigley served in the Revolutionary War with his son-in-law, Robert. Robert Oliver achieved a certain amount of prominence in the American Revolution and along with John Quigley and many others was an early settler in Ohio. Robert Oliver was a trustee for the Ohio Company and his signature is on hundred's of trust deeds for early settlers.
