Quigg Family Genealogy Forum

I am descended form a Roman Catholic James Quigg (born in the 1840s) from the townland of Laragh, in Desertogohill Parish of Colleraine Barony in County Londonderry. His sister Ann married John Cassedy in 1890 in Drumarner Roman Cathoic Chapel in Kilrea and they also came to the United States as did Ann and James' brother John.na. James and John settled in Indiana and the Cassedy's in Nebraska. James married Catherine Mellon after coming to the United States.
When Catherine Mellon originally came to the United States she stayed with an aunt Allice Crilly Spellman in Lafayette, Indiana. Her parents were Bernard (b. 1803) and Ellen "Nelly" Crilly Mellon from the townland of Tirhugh in County Londonderry, and five of the family came to the United States:Nancy, Michael, Patrick, Catherine and Bridget.
If you find any connections, I'm happy to share what information I have.
according to my research most of the Catholic Quiggs are found in the Kilrea-Swatragh-Garvagh area of Londonderry.
