Thank you for taking the time to post.It is indeed a thrill to "meet" you, and I would be happy to correspond with you.
INGLE is my married surname, and unfortunately, I've been unable to trace it back before 1800, but I suspect they go back much earlier.The earliest ancestor that we can verify, was Henry Ingle, of Buncombe County, NC, USA.I "suspect" that his father was James Ingle (Angle), who appears on early petitions in the same county.His eldest son Robert Levi Ingle, is my husband's gg grandfather.Levi served in the 60th NC Inf, Light Artillary during the American Civil War, as did 6 of his 7 brothers.It have suspected that they are of Scots/Irish descent.
Many of the lines that I'm researching on both sides of my family have been traced back to Ireland, but the most elusive is NINES.
I have a daughter, Kendra, that is your age... wish she was interested in geneaolgy!
