I seem to have lost my entire file on this family, but I do have a hard copy of Mary Etta's obit which was published in the La Junta (Colorado) Tribune Friday, March 27, 1931:
"Mrs. Mary Etta Kline passed away Friday afternoon about 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Forest Stephens, 406 Tenth Street.Mrs. Kline has been bedfast for the past fifteen months suffering from a broken hip and her death resulted from complications and the infirmities of old age.
Mrs. Kline was born at Sharaon, Wis, January 25, 1853 and was aged 78 years, 1 months, and 25 days at the time of her passing. She is survived by four daughters, one of them residing at Rocky Ford (Colorado). The husband, Mahlon Kline, preceded here in death.
The body was cared for at the Ustick-Green Parlors, and funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Christian church at Rocky Ford, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. H. Polly. The body was laid to rest in Hillcrest Cemetery."
