Gertrude "Gitty" Quick m. William Warren of Smithfield Twp., Bradford Co., PA
I am searching for information to confirm that a Gertrude "Gitty" Quick m. William Warren, b. abt. 1836 in NYS, s/o Merchant Warren and Adaline Morton.William had siblings, Maryette Warren who married Perry Hodge and resided in Smithfield Twp., Bradford Co., PA, and Sarah "Jane" Warren (my 2nd great-grandmother) who m. 1st Ruggles Kent Brooks (my 2nd great-grandfather) of Springfield and Canton Twps., Bradford Co., PA, and m. 2nd John E. Rockwell of Canton, Bradford Co., PA (she was John's 2nd wife).
William Warren and his wife, Gertrude, can be found in the 1860 Census for Smithfield Twp., Bradford Co., PA.They would eventually become the parents of a daughter, Lucy L. Warren.
Lucy L. Warren was raised by her grandmother, Adaline Morton Warren, in Lawrenceville, Tioga Co., PA (can be found there living w/Adaline in the 1870 and 1880 censuse for that locality).Lucy went on to marry 1st William H. Chace of Bradford Co., PA, and they had a daughter, Leda W. Chace--Leda became a schoolteacher, but apparently never married; William H. Chace died a few years after their marriage, and Lucy married 2nd Joseph W. Rockwell, s/o Samuel Rockwell and Joanna Hunt, and they had two daughters, Bessie and Dorothy; apparently these sisters became schoolteachers, and Bessie never married, and I don't know what happened to Dorothy.
In the 1870 and 1880 censuses there is a Freeman Warren residing with Adaline and Lucy.He is a few years older than Lucy.Is he her brother or a cousin?
Who are Gertrude "Gitty" Quick's parents? What happened to her after William Warren's death?Where is she buried? William's death was a result of wounds received in the Civil War, and he is buried next to his father, Merchant Warren, and his sister, Maryette, and her husband in the Union Cemetery in Smithfield Twp., Bradford Co., PA.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
