Hello Zane;
My nameis Darryl George Quibell.
My Great Grandfather George Earnest Quibell was in the Canadian Military Most of his life.When the time came that he had to retire,he changed the spelling of his last name From Quible To Quibell So he could serve for another 5 years.
I just received this information from my father who is the son of Allan Quibell who is the son George Earnest Quibell who was married to Ellen Sheridan.And so on down the line according to the info. posted by Bob Fergurson.( Thank You Bob).
I just started looking into our family name and I"m finding out a lot of new things.
I would appreciate any other info. that anyone else might have out there.

Feel free to contact me at

Thanks Darryl.
