I am researching the roots and history of a Dutch family of sailors. Their name is Cupido. In my file is a document called: concession de noblesse a Henri-Joseph-Felix de Quebedo, 28 april 1937. (Annuaire: 1940/41-II p. 265.) * Meme origine que la famille reconnue le 12 janvier 1876 (voir premiere partie p. 386). The heraldic description contains de following line: "ŸO SOY AQUEL QUEVEDO EL QUE A LOS MOROS IMPEDIO PASASEN A DONDE SU REY LES MANDO". How do you feel about the possible link based on the fonetic correlation between Quevedo and Cupido. Appreciate your opinion.
