Hi: I've been trying to find information on Joseph Parent married to Josephte Quesnel, who were my wife's g-g-g-grandparents, for a while now without success. I was wondering where you were able to get the birth date for Josephte Quesnel? My father-in-law, Hervé Parent, always told me that he had aboriginal blood (when he was alive, my interests were not in genealogy, unfortunately). I'm pretty sure that both Joseph Parent and Josephte Quesnel have aboriginal ancestors My wife's lineage is as follows in the Outaouais/Ottawa region:: 1 Joseph Parent + Josephte Quesnel 2 Isidor Parent + Louise Aubin 3 Isidor Parent + Délima Sabourin 4 Léo Parent + Éva Guindon 5 Hervé Parent + Laurette Desforges 6 SuzAnne Parent An interesting aside is the fact that Joseph and Josephte Parent's son, Jean-Baptiste (Johnny), married my grandfather's sister, Lucinda Brűlé (also known as Lucie Marie). My father told me that his uncle Johnny looked like a pure Indian, and that he had a trap line which ,I believe, ran between East Templeton (now part of Gatineau, Quebec) and Perkins Mills (now Val-de-Monts, Quebec). He also told me that my uncle Isidor Brűlé (Tim), accompanied Johnny on a few occasions; uncle Tim was unable to follow Johnny through the bush, and never dared try to handle Johnny's very short canoe. Regards, Denis P.S. My lineage is as follows in the Outaouais/Ottawa region: 1 Alexis Brűlé + Genevičve Thomas-dit-Tranchemontagne 2 Joseph Brűlé + Angélique Rhéaume 3 Joseph Brűlé + Joséphine Lecompte 4 Alexis Brűlé + Marie Anne Potvin 5 Georges Brűlé + Marie-Jeanne St-Pierre 6 Denis Brűlé Notify Administrator about this message?
