Hi ! Henceforth Normandy is subdivided into 2 regions, 5 departments, 6 dioceses, and 3300 municipalities(Communes).
The things were different before the Revolution of 1789, when there were no municipalities, but parishes, even more numerous than today.
The state of our archives, and sometimes their absence, does not allow to find easily information, even if it is possible with a lot of work.
Often, the fate helps us a lot.

I can advise you 4 websites :

- On Normandy and its History :
# http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normans

- On the genealogy in France, with numerous French and Norman genealogies (make a search by name):

Good luck for your genealogy.
