Dr. Philip Quesnel 1879 - 1947 was born Dec 10, 1879 in St. Andre Avellin PQ. He was christened in the First Church of Saint Andre Avellin on Dec 11, 1878. His family was originally from Rigaud and he was a 6th generation Quesnel in that town.. He was a direct descendent of Olivier Quesnel who married the daughter of Louis Prudhhomme
-Philip was orphaned at five years of age. He attended Bouget College (a High school) in
Rideau 1894 1898. He then took medicine at the Montreal campus of Laval University .
After Medical School he practiced for a short time in Grand’ Mer . He married Jean Millar Aug 12 1902.
He took up practice in Morinville Alberta in 1906. 1908 to 1912 in daysland then in Edmonton,, 1915 to 1917 overseas RAMC, 1919 to 1931 in Edmonton again, 1932 to 1947 in Lac la Biche. Any information such as his invovement in the formation of the Conservative party would be appreciated
