I believe that the William Queer that you are looking for was the son of Peter Queer. I am sorry to say that I do not know very much about him, but I do know that he is buried in the Methodist Church cemetery in Stahlstown, Pa. I remember seeing his grave quite a few years ago, and it had a GAR marker. I think that he was born around 1835 and died somewhere in the 1910's. If you are not familiar with Stahlstown, Pa., it is a small town about 10 miles south of Ligonier, Pa. on Pa. Route 711 in Westmoreland Co., Pa. I can give you good directions there if you need them.
