Hi Mary...have you had any luck in finding information on your Patrick Queenan. If he spelled his name as Queenan he is likely from Co. Sligo or Roscommon towards Northern WEstern portion of Ireland or if it was Quinane then it might have been further south and central. I discovered this diference this summer. My ancester is likely James Patrick Queenan born in 1814 or so in Co. Sligo...but I as yet haven't any proff of that. He did marry Mary Howard in Derby England in 1840...but he could definitely have been a cousin of the one that you are looking for. As you find our more, please let me know so that we can see if we have a connection.
