Hi Nancy...I don't have any information on the parents of your Michael Queenan b. in Sligo in 1827. However, I have seen a family tree online with a Michael Queenan, b. 1837 in Sligo whose father is Michael Queenan born who was married to either Catherine Tinline or Bridgid Foy. If this is the father siblings would be: Dominic, Anthony, Patrick, Mary, William, Netty and John Queenan.

I too am looking for a Queenan most likely born in Sligo. This is a Patrick Queenan likely born in 1806 and who emigrated to Derby England and married Mary Howard there in 1840. I am struggling to make all the right connections. Perhaps he is a brother of your Michael's father.... Later his son, James Queenan (with his name changed to Queening) emigrated to the NY city area in 1892 or so.

Good luck with your searching.
Would be interested in any details that you find out.
Sandi
