Garland was the son of Nathan S Queen and Arty Bryson. Rachel Hooper was the daughter of Joseph H Hooper and Violet Katherine Brown. Rachel and Garland had one son, William Jackson, AKA Bill Jack, AKA Willie, Queen. Willie was born in Indian Territory, OK 1898.
It appears Rachel died before 1907 as Garland shows-up in the 1910 IT / Oklahoma census married to Rebecca and with a new daughter, b. 1907.
Willie is not on the 1910 census but shows-up in the 1918 WW-I draft records in Oklahoma.
NEED HELP on Willie's location 1910, 1920 and 1930 (Federal Census, etc).
NEED HELP on dates and location of Rachel's marriage, death and burial.
Garland's parents also moved to Oklahoma at the same time as Garland and Rachel. Rachel's sister, Leah Gail Hooper Parker, brother, Thomas Warren Hooper (my Grandfather) and later their father, Joseph H Hooper all move to OK starting around 1895. Her mother had died earlier in NC and her only other sib Aaron stays in Jackson County, NC. Leah Gail, husband William Jonathan (aka Jonathan Willis) Parker and some children and grand children buried in Gore Cemetery, Gore, Sequoyah, OK (see Find-A-Grave). Thomas Warren and James Hooper, his son, died within 11 days of each other, Nov 1918, Westwood, Lassen, California and are buried in unmarked graves in Susanville Cemetery, Susanville, Lassen, CA. They died from the Spanish Flu during the epidemic of 1918.
Garland was alive at least until 1942 when he registered for the WW-II draft in Longview, Washington. He was in the timber business. No other details on death or family.
William Jackson dies in Lawndale, Los Angeles, CA 31 Oct 1969 (SSDI) and is a retired RR worker. No details on family.
NEED HELP on family, obit and burial location.
