Alexander Quay Sr., b. ca. 1686 married, I am convinced, (1) Mary Parker ca. 1713 and had Alexander Jr. (my ancestor); John, Jonathan, Sophia, Margaret; Catherine; Sarah and James.Mary died ca. 1732 and Alexander Sr. m. (2) Sarah Engle and had Rachel; Esther; Abigail and Seth.Alexander Sr. died spring 1755.
My Alexander m. a Margarita and bpt. my John Andrew Quay in 1st Dutch Reformed Church in Albany, NY 1767.John Andrew Quay m. Maria Zimmer in 1797 and they lived in the Helderbergs of New York State.
Our Alexander Sr. is mentioned in a will in ca. 1703 and I have his will.He lived in Cheltenham, Horsham, PA was a Yeoman.The name is also spelled McQuee and said to indicate Scottish origin.
Mary Abigail m. a Cunnard.
Abigail b. 1743, bpt. 7/30/1743 at Abington Presbyterian Church m. at Christ Church, Phil. PA June 25, 1768 Robert Slocombe.
