Hi, my maiden name is Quarry. My great-grandfather's name was Peter Quarry he married Mary Powers. They both immigrated to New York in the 1880's (seperately) married in New York, had 6 kids...In 1904 Mary died of typhoid fever and that same year the children were placed in a Catholic Orphanage they never heard from their father again...
I have found a Peter Quarry birth registration in Waterford Ireland, father John mother Joanna Dower, witness Margaret Quarry. Peter Quarry and Mary Powers children were: John, Margaret, Peter,Thomas, May and William. All born in Brooklyn, New York.
