Nancy Ward and John Quarles

I have been trying to find information that John Quarles did indeed marry Nancy Ward. Her first husband was named Kingfisher, a full blood Cherokee, Nancy was also known as Nan-ye-He-GHI-GA-U, she also was a full blood cherokee indian. She is very famous. She had two children with Kingfisher, a girl named Ka-ti (Catherine)and a son named Hi-s-ki-ti-hi(meaning fivekiller) She had both children by the time she was 17. She married Bryant Ward in the late 1750's. Bryant also had a white women wife, but apparently that was okay with her. John Quarles could have been a husband.(and had a son named David)after Bryant went back to live with his white wife. But then Nancy's tombstone says Nancy Ward,(and not Quarles) and beside her, lays her first husband, Kingfisher. If anyone can shed some light on this or tell me if Nancy Ward married or lived with John Quarles and had a son, it would be so helpful.
