Hi Harold, I found the same record where the PWA had typed the record that are in the Nashville, TN State Archives but the year. Here is what I found on the WPA Records: Jefferson County, TN Court Record from the WPA Records found at the TN State Archives Court adjourned until tomorrow 9 o'clock. Friday 22nd July 1808 Court met according to adjournment. Present Thomas Snoddy, William Holt, and Ebenezer Leith Esq. John McCampbell for J.P.H. Porter returned to Court 30 acre land for 1808. James Batting is excused from further attendance as a Juror term. Page (189) Present John Parrott, Thomas Snoddy, Ebnezer Leith, Benjamin burch, William Hill, John Sehorn, Alexander Outlaw, William Griffin Dudley Cox, Esquires. The Court reduce the fine of James Hodges to fifty cents, a fine of Calloway Hodges to five dollars and reduce the fine of R. Lenox to fifty cents. The Court allows the fees of John McCampbell Solicitor to be of the County monies in the following cases vix --the State vs. J. Thomas Davis, Stephen Day, William LcCulla and two other cases on State of Nicholas Qualls, Gabriel Qualles and Rolin Qualls the other State vs. Lucy Howell, Beny(Bany...this is really Benjamin) Howell, Elizabeth Qualls, Gabriel Qualls.
