Hi . . .
My name is Phyl Quance. I was born (a long time ago . .. 1929) in Chicago. I have one sister, Gayle, a brother Jim, and a half-brother George. My father's name was Warren, and about as far back as I can go is my grandfather, George Albert Quance. He was born in St. Ignace, Michigan. Apparently there are (or were) quite a number of Quances there. Could be part of the Canadian contingent? It looks as tho the others who have written have an English background(?). From what I've been told, ours was German. Probably Quantz at one time. Don't know if there's any connection anywhere, but it'd be interesting to find out.
