Quakers NJ to NY abt 1815
My Quaker ancestors are William WILSON and Anna HOAG (aka Martha A. Hoag), both born in NJ.They married somewhere in NJ in 1815 and then relocated to NY (county unknown) where the first nine of their eleven children were born.
William's death record in Michigan shows that his parents were James Wilson and Rachel ?? also from New Jersey.Information also indicates William's birthdate in NJ to have been abt 25 Oct 1790.
William and Anna's NY born children were James S. b. 1815 m. Sarah LAING
Rachel b. 1817 m. Sidney SMITH
Webster b. 1819 m. Lydia SMITH
Mary b. 1823 m. Thomas GOULD
Daniel b. 1825 m. Margaret WILSON
John C. b. 1827 m Martha CARTER
Jane b. 1830 m. Philip ROHM
Numan b. 1833 m. Mary J. WHEELER
Anna b. 1836 m. Peter W. KINNEY
If you can help at all with connections to these people or have knowledge as to the part of New Jersey they were from or where in New York they traveled to I would really appreciate hearning from you. This family left NJ for Michigan abt 1838.
Many thanks for any assistance.
