My family search has been quite lengthy. My main one I started with was Corida Cerelda Way which was my ggggreatgrand mother that married a Hamar gilbert.
Coridas father was James R Way,(married to Margaret Harold) a Dr in Indiana, His father was William W Way married to a Elizabeth Palmer. Researching in different links, I came up with the family tree, AND other "cousins" helped me get things right.
William and wife came from Guilford county NC, as far as I know, what I have found was correct, my family were quakers, stories handed down for one thing, I have dates and listings of the Way family coming from Nantucket, Paul which I mentioned before was the gggggreatgrandfather, his family moved to Gulford county,NC I don't have the documentation you mentioned, .As for Quakers, the MM have the accounts of the Way family in Nantucket, Way,Macy,Coffin ,Starbuck. they or most of them were split because of views, again some moved to NC some moved elsewhere.yes the dating is different, As for research, I wanted to find out more about them, who John's parents were, where did the way family come from, what ship were John and Paul on, when lost at sea. (1735) iss a date that I found. Like I said I do have a lot of information.
My ancestors were ostersized because of marrying someone out of their faith. My sources were distant cousins, Ancestry .com, Nantucket genealogy, genforum,, and a lot of it was handed down family history and I have c'ds called family tree maker that has a lot of info as well.
